So, I go to a top 10 law school here in the United States and am towards the top part of the class here, and will be interviewing with many top law firms for positions this August. I am looking to improve my fluency as much as possible as I have all of the credentials on paper, the personality and physical appearance to get the position..... but I stutter a great deal. I don't really care. I very much have a "fine, if you'll discriminate against me compared to other people based on my stutter, I will just be 10x better than most people intellectually, physically and emotionally approach to it." In this aspect, stuttering has been a gift. Being put in "slow classes" as a kid because I stuttered, and being accused of cheating on achievement tests because someone who can't speak can't be gifted as well as all the rejection professionally and socially because of stuttering have fueled my personal success and my ability to connect with other disadvantaged groups.
